High Quality Wood Benches

All benches,chairs and tables here at Sloane & Sons are made from Grade A teak, which is sustainably sourced and manufactured by skilled craftsmen at our factory in Indonesia. Teak is valued for its enormously robust and strong properties, which is perfect for use in the British climate, be it rain, snow or beautiful sunshine.

Teak Wood, often referred to as Tectona grandis, is produced from a tropical hardwood tree family. In addition to the woods high strength, teak is also incredibly resistant to rot and mould.

Freshly cut Teak wood possesses a leather-like smell.This type of wood is often used for construction, furniture and of course our teak garden benches.

Teak is also greatly conformable in the finishes that are applied. The bench and/or table will mature and age over time, allowing it to blend in with your garden. However, should you wish to maintain the light caramel colour of your new bench and table, we recommend applying teak oil to give the desired effect after about 8-10 months. Many of our customers opt to use no finish at all, resulting in the wood being left to naturally weather. The outcome of this leaves you with a pleasing silver-grey colour.

We sell a range of 2-5 seater benches all with a 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty to ensure that you are protected in the highly unlikely event of any faults occurring. Our benches are sized 120cm, 150cm, 180cm and 210cm.

All of the teak wood used to produce our benches comes from ecologically managed plantations in Indonesia, supported by government approved certificates. These programs ensure that the plantations are sustainable and protected by continuous replanting.
