There is something idyllic about sitting in your garden on a hot summer\u2019s day drinking a cool lemonade, with or without the Pimms. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s the unusual heat, the smell of freshly cut grass or the fact the flowers are in bloom but we all love rushing home from work to sit out in the garden. Its most people\u2019s favourite time of year but unfortunately most people don\u2019t find themselves in this dream scenario. After the harsh frosts of winter the reality is our lawns are a bit patchy and our garden furniture has seen better days so whilst we dream of summer nights in the garden, we shy away into the living room because being outside is like looking at a pile of office papers waiting to be filed.<\/p>\n
It doesn\u2019t have to be like that however, garden transformations are relatively simple and it only takes a few steps to make your neighbours green with envy. Start by weeding the flower beds. Getting rid of those pesky weeds will instantly make you feel better. It\u2019s the same feeling as tidying the kid\u2019s toys away in the house. Next up mow the lawn. If you trim the grass you can identify where the patches are more easily. A bit of grass seed should sort this out within a week or so. While the lawns getting back to its best, go to the local garden centre and see what delights you can find. Potted plants and garden features are a great way to divert eyes from a poor lawn and they instantly brighten spirits. There\u2019s nothing like something new for the home to get you excited to spend time in it again. When all of the above is done it\u2019s time to find your furniture. Say goodbye to the ancient bench that you got when you first moved in and go find something new that will look great in your garden. You can look at rattan cube sets if you wish or buy a dining table set but nothing is more traditional and quintessentially British than having a wooden bench in your garden. The furniture choice is up to you but after following these few, simple steps your garden should be a picturesque haven.
